What FileForms is, who these docs are for, and where to start.
FileForms is a compliance automation platform for businesses and their advisors — annual report filings, registered agent service, new entity formation, foreign qualifications, certificates of good standing, and EIN services across all 50 states.
These docs cover the two ways partners build on FileForms:
- The API — a REST API at
https://api.fileforms.com/v1for placing filing orders programmatically, receiving webhooks when filings progress, and embedding compliance into your own product. Orders placed via the API are billed to your organization's prepaid balance. - The dashboard — a white-label portal where your clients manage their own compliance. Depending on your billing mode, they pay by card at retail prices you control, or their filings are billed to your organization.
The docs are developer-first, but the billing, pricing, and state fee pages apply to dashboard partners too. Pages that only matter for one audience say so at the top.
